Can I still plant daffodils now?

I have some daffodil bulbs that I forgot to plant until now. Is it still okay to plant them now? If so, will they still (or at least some of them) bloom this spring or will they not until next spring? I'm in Virginia (if the weather matters). Thanks!

Can I still plant daffodils now?
yes, you can still plant them. they will most likely still bloom. we still have plenty of cool weather left. put a little bone meal in with them when you plant them, and after they finish blooming, sprinkle a little slow release fertilizer, for example osmocote, around them. that should take care of them. enjoy!
Reply:Yes, but they will not bloom until next year. I live in Va also.
Reply:While you might have a few days of cooler weather left in VA, I doubt that planting them now would allow them to grow this season. Plant them now for next year, while you're thinking about it.
Reply:Plant them for next year, they'll do fine. There is no chance of bloom this year because they need 6-10 weeks of chilling to flower- unless they are one of the warmer season daffodils.

It won't hurt them to plant for next year, and could even end up giving them a chance to build to a stronger bloom by allowing them longer to establish.
Reply:yes you can still plant them i don't know if they will bloom this year or not i am in vermont they would for me your in virginia so i don't know maybe next year the weather there is alot nicer than here.
