What should me and my bf wear at a Daffodil Ball (for cancer)?

A la Montreal right? :)

Here are some pictures from the Ball...

Your bf: Tux. Guys are so easy to dress. He could try and spice it up and wear a WHITE tux, but if all else fails, just rent a black one with the standard tux shirt and bowtie.

You: Please, I'm begging you not to wear black. But if you ARE going to wear black anyway, wear brightly coloured pumps and bright accessories. This is not the time to go super elegant, because you're at a ball for cancer (bravo!), so you want to try and show a bit of energy, instead of blending into the crowd.

I don't know your colouring, so I'm apt to just blankly suggest jewel-toned clothing. Sapphire blues, emerald greens, those colours have never done any girl wrong. If you are on the darker side (as in, not super pale and white), go for a bright white dress with accented colours like yellow or red. Or if you are super pale and white, go for more ivory and creamy colours to warm up your skin tone.

Don't be afraid of patterns either. In that one picture, there's a beautiful girl wearing a patterened dress, and she looks fresh and fab in it.

It also looks to be a bit more on the casual-formal side, which means you can be super comfortable, and even wear a wrap dress (I'm a sucker for these). There are so many wrap dresses out there right now that, you don't need to shell out for a Diane von Furstenburg.

You can also go the Old Hollywood route, and wear a tighter fitting pencil skirt/square top outfit. I was just in Suzy Shier the other day, and picked up a black dress just like that for $50.

It's not actually on their site... but here's Suzy's URL:

And here's the style I'm talking about:

With some punchy long dangly earrings and red pumps, this could be a very nice black dress... (if you're going to wear black that is.. which I don't suggest you do :P)
