How do I get rid of non-flower producing daffodils?

I have several daffodil plants that were planted many yrs ago. They still produce foliage, but stopped producing blooms. What can I do to get rid of them? Do I have to dig the bulbs up? Or can I just cut all the leaves down?

How do I get rid of non-flower producing daffodils?
The easiest way to dig them is to use a rounded shovel and go straight down as close to the mound as possible. Make sure you go deep enough to expose the bulb. Flip the whole mound gently over and pull the bulbs out and the foliage through from the bottom. Once you have extracted the bulbs and flip the grass mound back over you can hardly tell that you have dug a chunk out of your yard. It leaves small holes in the grass but does not require a great amount of effort to cover your tracks as you go. Just tamp the grass back into place.

If you want the daffodils to bloom again then do the same thing but instead of taking all the bulbs out just thin them out. The reason they are not blooming is that they are too conjested in their space. They do not have enough room or enough nourishment.
Reply:Dig the bulbs up, otherwise they will continue to produce the foliage.
Reply:Try to see if they need dividing and give them some bulb food. They are not getting enough food to bloom.
