Daffodils - what triggers them (and similar bulbs) to come out?

Is it the change in daylight or is it to do with the weather / warmth?

Daffodils - what triggers them (and similar bulbs) to come out?
It's a combination of the weather warming up, they need a spell of very cold weather to start into growth, and the lengthening daylight hours.
Reply:the warmth of the sun . When the ground warms up to a certain temparature then they will start to come out of the ground.
Reply:It is to do with the temperature.
